Artist's Note:
I began the research for "The House of Morgan II - The J.P. Morgan Library and his Collection" in 2001. But it was not until 2010 that I had the time to work on a "Study". The completed "Study" can be seen in my Museums section.
The "Unfinished" work on these pages began in 2010 and continues into the present 2011.
The painting is a triptych and is divided into four columns. Inside each column are close-ups of works of art that were in the J. P. Morgan Collection at one time. The columns divide the Charles F. McKim building into three spaces. To the left is the Rotunda and the North Room. In the center is the East Room where the books are stored. The far right room is the West Room - J. P. Morgan's study.
